Peptide Name: CSK (181-187) pY184
Product Use: Services as a blocking peptide for use with the Csk-pY184 rabbit polyclonal antibody (Cat. No.: AB-PK589) that is also available from Kinexus. This phosphopeptide may also be useful as a substrate for screening the phosphatase activity of protein phosphatases. The peptide sequence is located in the region between the SH2 domain and the protein kinase catalytic domain. Y184 phosphorylation stimulates phosphotransferase activity.
Peptide Production Method: Solid-phase peptide synthesis
Peptide Origin: Homo sapiens
Peptide Sequence: DEF-pY-RSG
Peptide Modifications N Terminus: Free amino
Peptide Modifications C Terminus: βAla-Cys
Scientific Background: CSK is a protein-tyrosine kinase of the TK group and Csk family. It is a protein kinase that can regulate cell differentiation, growth, and migration, along with mediating immune responses. A Y184F mutation leads to inhibited phosphorylation of CSK. Activity can be decreased by 2/3 with a Y304F mutation. PRKACA induced phosphorylation of CSK can be inhibited with a CSK mutation S364A.
